Telepsychiatry

Telepsychiatry in Southern Arizona!

Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric care remotely between the psychiatrist and the patient using technology (computer, cellphone, tablet).

Telepsychiatry is an accepted practice in the medical field and allows increased access and flexibility to demanding schedules. Telemedicine, when properly configured, is HIPAA compliant and encrypted to protect sensitive information.

While the telemedicine rules and regulations are rapidly changing, I am legally able to see patients through the telemedicine platform with no requirement for an in-person evaluation for anyone who is not or will not require the use of a controlled substance. Therefore NO controlled substances will be prescribed over telemedicine. This includes stimulants, benzodiazepines, suboxone, and sleep medications.
